Media and Government Communication Unit<\/strong><\/p>\n

As part of the Center\u2019s ongoing scientific activities, and in cooperation with the Women\u2019s Affairs Division at the University of Baghdad, the Center for Strategic and International Studies convened a scientific seminar entitled ‘Strategic Planning for Advancing the Career Path of Women in Academia.” The seminar falls within a broader framework of academic programs aimed at activating and strengthening the role of female expertise within university institutions.<\/p>\n

The seminar was delivered by the liaison member of the Women\u2019s Affairs Division at the Center, Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Mawlood Shuker. In her presentation, she outlined key strategies for transitioning from capacity-building phases to leadership empowerment, emphasizing that women\u2019s participation in decision-making constitutes a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable development goals in alignment with national and governmental strategies.<\/p>\n

The seminar concluded with a set of practical recommendations aimed at shaping a pioneering professional identity, most notably:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Academic women should prioritize the development of their career trajectories by establishing an annual training and qualification plan that aligns with labor market demands, both in academic and administrative domains .<\/li>\n
  2. Sustained efforts are required to build a professional identity characterized by leadership and innovation across both knowledge-based and administrative fields.<\/li>\n
  3. Active participation in proposing initiatives that enhance institutional productivity and effectively communicate these contributions to decision-makers, thereby highlighting women\u2019s competencies and skills.<\/li>\n
  4. Strengthening collaborative work with colleagues, as a key attribute of an advanced professional profile lies in the capacity for adaptability and sustained communication within the workplace environment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Such activities, organized by the Center for Strategic and International Studies in collaboration with the Women\u2019s Affairs Division at the University of Baghdad, represent a central component in the implementation of the National Strategy for Iraqi Women for the year 2026.<\/p>\n
