style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Sakkal Majalla';\">I<strong>n a strategic step toward consolidating workplace equity, the University of Baghdad hosted a high-level scientific seminar entitled, &#8220;Activating the Executive Quota: Toward Fair Representation of Working Women in State Institutions.&#8221; The event was jointly organized by the Center for Strategic and International Studies and the Women\u2019s Affairs Division at the University Presidency, in coordination with the Higher Council for Women\u2019s Affairs at the Council of Ministers.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Sakkal Majalla';\">The seminar witnessed broad academic attendance representing all university formations and was held in the Conference Hall of the Center for Urban and Regional Planning.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Sakkal Majalla';\">The program included the presentation of a research paper delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Mouloud Shaker, Liaison Member of the Women\u2019s Affairs Division at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, entitled, &#8220;Strategies for Activating the Executive Quota in Universities.&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Sakkal Majalla';\">In her paper, Dr. Rana presented a comprehensive concept of the executive quota as a system aimed at allocating specified percentages of leadership and administrative positions to women within governmental institutions.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Sakkal Majalla';\">It is worth noting that this seminar reflects the Center for Strategic and International Studies\u2019 commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5 concerning gender equality, and Goal 17 relating to effective partnerships for the achievement of national objectives.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p
