{"id":790,"date":"2025-05-27T09:47:23","date_gmt":"2025-05-27T09:47:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.cis.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=790"},"modified":"2025-05-27T09:47:51","modified_gmt":"2025-05-27T09:47:51","slug":"panel-discussion-at-the-center-for-strategic-and-international-studies-explores-pakistans-foreign-policy-toward-iraq-post-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.cis.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=790","title":{"rendered":"Panel Discussion at the Center for Strategic and International Studies Explores Pakistan\u2019s Foreign Policy toward Iraq Post-2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Department of Regional and International Political Studies at the Center for Strategic and International Studies hosted a panel discussion titled <em>\u201cPakistan\u2019s Foreign Policy Toward Iraq After 2014.\u201d<\/em> The session was led by <strong>Assistant Lecturer Marwa Salman Hassan<\/strong> and attended by a number of researchers and political affairs specialists.<\/p>\n<p>In her presentation, Marwa Salman Hassan reviewed the historical roots of Iraq\u2013Pakistan relations, with a particular focus on Pakistan\u2019s stance toward developments in Iraq following the rise of the terrorist organization (ISIS) in 2014. She also examined the extent of Islamabad\u2019s involvement in the international coalition&#8217;s counterterrorism efforts.<\/p>\n<p>The discussion further addressed the evolution of bilateral relations between Iraq and Pakistan in the political and economic spheres since 2017.
