(the protest movement and raising public awareness in Iraq) .<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Government Media and Communication Unit.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The Department of Regional and International Political Studies at the Center for Strategic and International Studies_ University of Baghdad \u00a0held a scientific workshop entitled :<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">(The protest movement and raising public awareness in Iraq ) Presented by Assistant Lecturer Ali Bisht With the participation of an elite group of researchers and academics .<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The workshop focused on the transformations of protest movements in Iraq, especially after 2003.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The workshop covered several topics :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Protest against the occupation and the American presence led by the Sadrist movement before 2011 .<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The 2015 protests, which marked a turning point in the history of the Iraqi protest movement , Because it witnessed a cross-pollination of Islamic and civil ideas through the alliance of Sadrists and civilians.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The October 2019 protests marked a major turning point in the trajectory of public awareness and the ways in which popular demands were expressed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The lecturer pointed out that the Iraqi protests have evolved from momentary reactions to organized demands, reflecting a deepening crisis of trust between citizens and state institutions.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The lecturer also highlighted :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The decline of the role of traditional parties in leading the street.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The rise of independent voices and civil society organizations.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Analysis of the factors influencing public mood, especially the role of the media, social media, and economic factors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The workshop concluded with a number of important scientific recommendations, calling for enhanced research into the dynamics of the Iraqi popular movement and linking it to political development frameworks, thus contributing to building a sound relationship between the masses and
