Mission
The mission of the Center is to examine political issues, policies, foreign affairs, and international relations across the globe. It aims to conduct in-depth studies, generate and curate databases, categorize data, and make information accessible to those with an interest. This initiative will contribute to the advancement of knowledge in these critical areas.
Objectives
⦁ Offering Academic Studies and Scientific Research: Providing academic studies and scientific research aligned with the University of Baghdad’s higher education and research requirements.
⦁ Consultation and Guidance: Offering consultation and guidance for the development of policies and attitudes, anticipating changes based on international facts and experiences from other countries in these fields.
⦁ Information for Development: Supplying accurate information to support Iraq’s overall development process and Arab scientific research. The center aims to foster cooperation, exchange scientific experiences, and organize joint conferences with equivalent centers on a reciprocal basis.
⦁ Contribution to Scientific Research: Participating in the development of scientific research in the field of strategic and international studies. This involves reviewing topics studied in political science faculties and departments, suggesting subjects aligned with scientific developments, and sharing the experiences, research, and studies conducted by the center’s researchers with postgraduate students, or supervising them.
⦁ Enhanced Understanding of the Global Landscape: Contributing to a deeper understanding of the complexities of the world and the rapid changes in the international environment.
⦁ Resource for Policymakers and Students: Providing policymakers and students with an invaluable resource by producing informed, fresh thinking.
