As part of its academic activities, the Translation Unit at the Center for Strategic and International Studies at the University of Baghdad organized a virtual workshop presented by translator and researcher Samira Ibrahim Abdul Rahman, Head of the Translators Department, titled ( The Role of Translation in Empowering the Feminist Movement and Strengthening its Supportive Political Discourse) Via (Google Classroom) .
The workshop highlighted the vital role translation plays in communicating feminist discourse to a wider audience, and how it contributes to supporting political trends that support women’s rights and empowerment by enhancing the presence of women’s issues in global political and media discourse .
They attended with distinguished academic and interactive attendance, and the participants in this workshop received official accreditation for participation , This event is part of a series of workshops the Center is keen to organize to support scientific research and address societal issues from an in-depth academic perspective , Strengthening the role of translation as an effective tool in transferring knowledge and building community awareness .
