The Department of Regional and International Political Studies at the Center for Strategic and International Studies at the University of Baghdad organized an academic workshop entitled The Political Dimension of Sino-American Competition, presented by Lecturer Dr. Khalaf Latif Ali, with the attendance of a distinguished group of academics and researchers specializing in international affairs.

The workshop addressed the nature of the transformations taking place within the international system during the twenty-first century, focusing on the evolution of the Sino-American rivalry and the manner in which competition has expanded beyond the economic and commercial sphere into broader political, strategic, military, and technological dimensions. The discussion also examined the restructuring of global power relations and the role of this competition in reshaping international balances of power, the character of the global order, and the future of international leadership.

The workshop concluded with a number of academic recommendations emphasizing the importance of understanding these contemporary geopolitical transformations and their implications for the stability of the international system and major global issues.
