Dr. Mustafa Ibrahim Salman Al-Shammari, a researcher at the Center for Strategic and International Studies at the University of Baghdad, participated in the international scientific conference organized by Abu Bakr Belkaid University – Tlemcen, Faculty of Law and Political Science.
During the conference, he presented a scientific research paper titled “The Phenomenon of Money Laundering and the International Role in Recovering It: Iraq as a Model.” Dr. Al-Shammari underscored that money laundering is a serious crime impacting the security and stability of countries, particularly economically. Given its severity, it has evolved into a transnational issue posing economic challenges to the global economy. Funds acquired through illegal means are laundered through legitimate financial channels. Iraq, since 2003, has been significantly affected by this crime, leading to profound economic, political, security, and social consequences that have burdened its people.
In recognition of his contribution, Dr. Mustafa Ibrahim received a certificate of participation from the conference organizers
