A new book titled “Iran in the American Strategic Mind: Power, Confrontation, and Control” by Assistant Lecturer Noora Riyadh Al-Dabbagh, researcher and academic at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, University of Baghdad, has been recently published by Adnan Publishing House and Library.
The book offers a comprehensive examination of Iran’s status within the political and military calculations of the United States, identifying it as a central axis in shaping the contours of influence across the Middle East. It provides a rigorous analysis of the mechanisms underlying American strategic thinking toward Tehran and investigates the ways in which economic, political, and military instruments are employed to achieve a calibrated balance between deterrence and dominance. The study also underscores the critical roles of energy and geopolitics in shaping U.S. policy orientations toward Iran.
This publication represents a significant scholarly contribution to understanding the complexities of the Iranian–American conflict within the evolving dynamics of contemporary international politics.
