As part of the Center for Strategic and International Studies’ commitment to keeping pace with contemporary scientific transformations and strengthening the integration of emerging technologies within the humanities, a delegation of faculty members from the Center conducted an academic visit to the College of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Baghdad.

The delegation was received by the Assistant Dean and a number of faculty members, who welcomed the visit and provided an overview of the nature of academic study at the College, admission mechanisms, and graduate programs. They also discussed the scientific vision adopted by the College in preparing a generation capable of engaging with the demands of the modern era and its technological challenges.

The visit included a tour of the scientific laboratories, during which the delegation examined a range of contemporary projects and applications developed by students, including models of robotic systems and intelligent software programs that reflected the level of effort and creativity demonstrated by both students and faculty members in this rapidly evolving field.

The visit extended beyond its technical dimension, opening broader discussions on the growing relationship between artificial intelligence and the humanities, as well as the potential utilization of these technologies in advancing research and analytical methodologies. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of preserving the human dimension amid the accelerating pace of technological development.

The visit reflected a spirit of academic cooperation and intellectual openness between educational institutions and contributed to strengthening awareness of the importance of integration between technological and human sciences in ways that support scientific research and keep pace with the transformations shaping the contemporary world.
