The Center for Strategic and International Studies at the University of Baghdad, represented by its Director, Professor Dr. Saad Ubaid Al-Saeedi, along with all faculty members and staff of the Center, extends its deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the Islamic world and the Iraqi people on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Musa ibn Ja‘far Al-Kadhim (peace be upon him).

This occasion represents a moment of reflection that calls for careful consideration of the nature of the relationship that prevailed between temporal authority and spiritual leadership, and the profound challenges it entailed with regard to the principles of social justice, the protection of freedoms, and the ethical responsibilities of governance toward society.

The life and legacy of Imam Al-Kadhim (peace be upon him) established enduring foundations for a principled and wise approach to confronting the pressures of authority and harsh social conditions, grounded in patience, moral composure, and steadfast adherence to elevated values. These foundations continue to serve as a vital reference in contemporary political and intellectual analysis, particularly in discussions of legitimacy, nonviolent resistance, and the cultivation of enlightened societal awareness.
