As part of the activities marking Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Center for Strategic and International Studies at the University of Baghdad hosted a distinguished academic seminar entitled “Artificial Intelligence and Soft Power: International Models Beyond the Equation of Technological Dominance.”
The seminar highlighted the growing role of artificial intelligence as a strategic instrument enabling states to strengthen their international influence beyond the traditional metrics of military and economic power.
The research paper presented at the event underscored that the international system is undergoing a profound transformation in the sources of power, with dominance no longer confined to states possessing military or economic superiority. The seminar concluded by affirming that artificial intelligence opens new horizons for small and medium-sized states to transcend the constraints of geography and conventional resources, and to compete within the arena of global influence through knowledge, innovation, and moral appeal … thereby reshaping the very concept of power in contemporary international relations.
