Title of the Scientific Workshop Held by the Department of Regional and International Political Studies
The Department of Regional and International Political Studies at the center organized a workshop titled “Trump’s Position on Annexing Canada after His Election,” delivered by Assistant Lecturer Riyadh Mohammed Khalbas. The workshop provided a comprehensive analysis of U.S. President Donald Trump’s stance on the potential annexation of Canada by the United States following his electoral victory. It examined the political, economic, and legal feasibility of such a proposition.
Key Findings and Recommendations:
The annexation of Canada by the United States is neither politically nor legally viable; however, the notion could be leveraged as a strategic tool in economic or security negotiations.
It is essential to strengthen bilateral relations while ensuring the sovereignty and independence of both nations remain intact.
