The Department of Regional and International Political Studies at the center organized a seminar titled “Women’s Rights in the Iraqi Constitution: Between Legislation and Implementation.”

The seminar was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Nadia Abbas Fadhli, who explored women’s rights as outlined in the 2005 Constitution, focusing on the gap between legal provisions and their actual implementation. She also addressed issues such as legal equality, women’s right to political participation, and access to public employment opportunities. Additionally, Dr. Fadhli discussed the challenges impeding the realization of these rights and proposed solutions through legal and legislative reforms.
